At Ramada Plaza By Wyndham Kahramanmaraş, we are fully aware of our environmental and social responsibilities. To support sustainable tourism, we utilize energy-saving technologies and implement waste management and recycling practices to protect our environment. By offering eco-friendly options to our guests, we aim to preserve natural resources and contribute to local communities. Our goal is to provide a high-quality and responsible accommodation experience, striving to leave a more livable world for future generations.
OUR SUSTAINABLE TOURISM POLICY
We would like to state that we have currently reached level 3 in the program (called Wyndham Green), which is conducted in parallel with the sustainable tourism policy across all Wyndham Group hotels. Ramada Plaza By Wyndham Hotel prioritizes sustainable tourism practices and is aware of its responsibility in areas such as nature, environment, tourism, development, waste management, natural resource usage, health and safety of employees, child protection awareness, and the recognition of equal rights. With the goal of leaving a better world for future generations, our product and service processes continue in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Under our hotel's sustainability policy, the practices and main objectives are listed below.
OUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
In order to protect the environment and use natural resources sustainably, we use LED bulbs in rooms and common areas to efficiently utilize our energy resources, thereby contributing to energy conservation and the protection of natural resources. Additionally, within the hotel, we use energy and water-saving devices, effectively manage waste, and lead recycling activities. In our hotel rooms, we keep curtains open during both summer and winter months to make the most of daylight, reducing electricity consumption from climate control devices. Lastly, in some of our general areas, we use water-saving devices on faucets and showerheads to limit water flow and promote conservation.
ENVIRONMENTALLY-CONSCIOUS PURCHASING
When selecting our suppliers, we prioritize environmentally friendly local products. We give preference to products that are recyclable, made from recycled materials, certified, and in line with sustainability principles. Throughout our procurement process, from sourcing raw materials to waste management, our goal is to minimize environmental impact while maximizing societal benefit. In this way, we follow an environmentally conscious purchasing policy.
COLLABORATION WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES
In our business, the health and safety of our employees, suppliers, and guests are our top priority. In this context, we place great importance on the training and development of our employees, and we diligently implement technological advancements. All stakeholders have the freedom of thought and belief, and we do not discriminate based on language, religion, race, gender, social class, age, or union membership. The protection of human rights is our foremost principle.
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
We would like to point out that more than 95% of our suppliers and raw materials are local by collaborating with local communities. We aim to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. We make environmentally friendly purchases that produce less energy, water and waste for sustainable tourism.
GUEST SATISFACTION
Our hotel prioritizes guest satisfaction while implementing and updating its sustainability policy. In this context, we offer comfortable and hygienic accommodation, provide healthy and delicious dining options, and ensure all necessary services for guest satisfaction. Thus, we aim not only to protect natural resources but also to maximize the satisfaction of both our guests and employees. We strive to keep guest satisfaction at the highest level by making efforts throughout their stay. We also inform our guests about environmental awareness and raise their consciousness about sustainable tourism. We are committed to tracking all guest suggestions and complaints from various sources through online channels, resolving complaints in accordance with ethical conduct, and transparently informing our guests about the resolution process, turning complaints into opportunities for improvement.
SAVING WATER AND ELECTRICITY & RESPECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
We have taken various measures to conserve water and electricity at our facility. Some of these measures include the use of water-saving faucets and showerheads, as well as energy-efficient light bulbs. In all our activities, we are committed to the principle of protecting the natural environment by using our resources in the most efficient way to prevent environmental pollution. Within the scope of zero waste, we aim to reduce the amount of waste we generate and ensure the recycling of what we produce, making it harmless to nature. We are also dedicated to reducing climate change and protecting biodiversity and ecosystems.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Our hotel actively supports social responsibility projects. As part of the Blue Cap project, we recycle plastic bottles and collect their blue caps to facilitate the purchase of wheelchairs for those in need. For every 400 kilograms of blue caps, we provide one standard manual wheelchair, and for every 4 tons of blue caps, we provide one electric wheelchair, which we then deliver to those in need. Additionally, we participate in environmental cleanup activities organized by local foundations and associations, and we engage in efforts that address the needs of regional communities.
